Multiple connections on 1 universe

Hi,
This is very important for us for many projects, Is it possible to have multiple DB connections on 1 Universe?

No, it’s not.

Maybe try a Database-link on your connection?

I Know that it is not possible on BO XIR2 version, would it be possible in some higher version of BO?
What do you mean by a DB link in a connection? Can you please explain.

Yes, it is the same in higher versions too. Andreas gave two other alternatives here.

If you want to report on multiple sources, without building a DWH/data marts or by solving it in your report, then there are only the two alternatives that were already mentioned. Data Federator will cost you money as it’s proprietry BOBJ software (it was in fact an acquisition of Medience), and db-links will cost you performance, it is really only good for a couple of tables and not more.
