Modifying the underlying universe for a query

Hello All,

I have a question regarding how to change the underying universe for a particular query in a report.
I know that we can change the universe in the EDIT QUERY mode while modifying the report. However, I have two queries, I want to change the underlying universe for one query not for the second query. When I changed the universe for the required query, the underlying universe for the second query has also changed.

I believe this the default behaviour of the Web intelligence.

My question is, Is there a way that we can change the underlying universe for one query not for the second query.

Thank you for your help
Keerthana.

PS : The reason i am looking for the solution is I need to implement the same query on 5 different universes. I thought duplicating the query and changing the universe would make my job lot easier.

It is, rubbish isn’t it… :nonod: .

The same thing happenned when I tested on 3.1, not good in my opinion.

I would be interetsed to see if any service packs have addressed this issue…

I too have noted this issue in Web-I. As of now, you can do what was suggested in the last post of this topic.

Yes Mark, It is not good. It is unfortunate that even R3 does not have this fixed. ( Our Environment is R2)

Jansi, Thank you for pointing me to the thread that is already there.

Right now, that is what i am doing "Adding a query instead of duplicating a query ". But For the complex queries, it will definetly take time to build the query again. But Looks like, we do not have any other option\tircks.

Thank you
Keerthana

I know, I would be interested if anyone has submitted this to SAP as a bug / enhancement.
