Mobile and Firewall settings

  • I managed to configure my Mobile server.
  • Downloaded the Ipad app.
  • Set up a connection to my server

and voila, viewing all my webi reports (in the Category: “Mobile”) through the Ipad.

But… in this process I switched of the firewall from the BusObj server, for obvious reasons… but now I want to turn it on again.

So I thought if I added 2 new INBOUND rules:

  • one for the VAS (external) port number
  • one for the VMS (external port number
    it would be fine.

But the above didn’t do the trick… what else is needed to TURN ON the firewall and let BI MOBILE work?

got it,
all 4 ports (internal and external, from both VMS and VAS) need to be on the INBOUND and OUTBOUND side in the firewall.

Hi Tiny,

VAS and VMS is not at all need in the BO mobile 4.0 you have to seek in server.prop and check that your IP is in Public IP than local . I hope it will work these if not drop me mail vishal.guthula@gmail.com
