Mixed graphs with line graph and bar graph on the same sheet

Folks,

I am building reports using BO Universe Designer. The reports in special cases contain a graph with Bars and lines on the same display page. Typically represents a group total, while the line represents running total. Please advise any work around for this.

Could you please elaborate your problem? What are your running aggregates etc etc?? and what you want to do with them??

Thank you, Shiva. I have daily production of the product in hundreds shown in bar graph for production with one bar per day, with date on x-axis and daily production on y-axis. For a month I want to plot a line graph showing month to date total on the same bar graph. Hope it is clear. Thanks for the quick response.

try this:

variable=runningsum([daily production];(month))

it will calculate a running sum for each month.

Yes. I can claculate the daily totals and running totals easily. The propblem is with the display of bars and lines on same graph. Vertical bars for each days’ production and line for running total.

I think the question is really “Is there a combination chart” available in WEBI.

The answer is YES. Check out the “Bar Charts --> Vertical Bar and Line”

This is available in XIR3.1… I can’t vouch for XIR2, it might not be there.

No changes between versions :).

Charting is the same in both and is sadly lacking, IMO.
