Does anyone know what the minimum (oldest) version of MS Office (Specifically Excel) supported accross the whole of the Business Objects XI 3 product stack, including CRpts, Xcelsius, Webi Rich Client, Deski etc etc etc?

It depends on what you’re trying to do. As a data source, you can use Access or Excel 2000. Can you give us more information as to what you’re trying to accomplish?

A prospect has Office 2002 sp3 as it’s standard desktop policy and is concerned it will limit the number of BOBJ tools they use.
So thinking of what tools utilise Excell i would say Live Office, Xcelsius Web Rich Client (local data sources), DESKI (local data sources).

You would need to check the Supported Platforms document for each product, but I suspect most of them would support that version, with the possible exception of Live Office.
