Folks,
I plan to migrate all our universes and documents from BO4 to BO5. Iíd like to know if any of you as observed any special difficulties when doing that.
If anyone has any hints or tips I will be extremely grateful

The universe structure has not changed from BO4 to BO5 The document structure has changed (BO5 can open BO4 documents, but not vice versa)
There’s also a pretty good upgrade guide on the tech support website.

I’m upgrading soon, as well, and have seen the repeated posts to get “that” upgrade guide off of the web site. Now, I AM a little biased here, but I don’t think I’m a complete moron…however, I can’t find the darn thing. Would someone be able to provide me with the exact URL (or path in their site) to find this great upgrade guide.
I would appreciate it !

hmmm, I can’t seem to find the original guide either … Business Objects redesigned their techsupport site a few weeks ago … maybe it got lost in the redesign … You could probably request it from tech support or your account rep. Regards,

Here are some instructions that work… at least for today. 
Log on to the tech support site
Select “Documentation”
Look in the section titled “Deployment and Server Products” Scroll to the bottom of the section, and click on the link “Additional Deployment Documentation”
There you will find a link for “Updating from a Previous Release”. The actual link, which you can probably access once you log in to the tech support site, is:
