Migrate from XI R2 Sp3 to 4.0

Hi everyone,

Our company is currentlying using BO XI R2 sp3 and is on a progress of migrating to BO 4.0. Since we are going to skip 3.x version and jump direcly from XI R2 to 4.0, We are trying to find out if there are any obticles for this installation. Therefore, we have some concerns before our migration. Hope someone here also have done this before or have some knowlege can help us with these questions:

  1. What do we need to know for our installation from XI R2 sp3 to 4.0?
  2. Will XI R2 Webi reports work fine in 4.0 version? Do we need a conversion tool to covert the reports? What are the steps moving the Web Intelligence reports from XI R2 to 4.0? And also, what about Crystal reports from XI R2 to 4.0?
  3. We have some old Crystal reports using Business View Manager as dynamic cascading prompt. Does 4.0 still support Business Manager? If so, are there any new added features? Will these reports work when migrate to 4.0?

That’s all my questions for now. Very appriciated your help.
