Middleware PostgresSQL missing -- BO XI 3.1

Hello everybody I really need help !!! :cry:

I have a problem, i am using BO XI 3.1 and on designer I have to make the connexion with the middleware PosgreSQL as my database is on this. But this middleware is missing ??? Is it normal ?? Can I add a middleware and if it is possible how can I do it ?

Also, Iā€™ve tried to resolve this problem by using a generic JDBC connexion, in Designer it worked. But when I tried to do a report on Desktop Intelligence I had this error : ā€œException: CS, Specified network layer is invalid : JDBCā€. After searching on internet Iā€™ve found that this version does not support a JDBC connexion.

So Iā€™ve tried to used a generic ODBC Connexion, it worked on Designer but when I tried to do a report on Desktop Intelligence I had this error : ā€œException: DBD, ERREUR: la relation Ā« cssy_objectinfo Ā» nā€™existe pas;No query has been executed with that handleState: 42P01ā€

Can you help me please ??? :cry: :cry: :? :? :?

Desktop Intelligence isn`t supported anymore btw.

Anyway, when you tested, was it via the Infoview or on your desktop?

Iā€™m using it on my Desktop.

But can you explain me why the middleware PostgreSQL is not appearing when Iā€™m creating the connexion ??

When you installed Desktop Intelligence, did you install the correct middleware? Have you got the correct Postgres drivers on your desktop PC?

When Iā€™ve installed Desktop Intelligence, Iā€™ve selected all the ā€œAccess to DataBaseā€ and PostgreSQL 8 does not appear. But Iā€™ve installed the driver on my computer ā€œPostgreSQL, PostgreSQL ANSI, PostgreSQL Unicodeā€.

Looks like itā€™s supported - maybe uninstalling and reinstalling your BO client tools will allow you to add other middleware connectors?

It does not appear even when I re-install it. How can I know on which Service Pack of BO XI 3.1 ? (I know that I have the BO XI 3.1 Client Tools). When I searched on internet it says that : ā€œFor the Designer stack, PostgreSQL 8.3 is supported on both ODBC and JDBC starting from version BOE XI 3.1 SP2.ā€ http://scn.sap.com/thread/1510186
