I had quite a few rules against the metrics which i deleted some time ago.so they dnt exist now as i cant see them but they are still being fired by the system as if they were never deleted.
Can any one tell what could possibly be the reasons that why these rules still gets executed even after they have been deleted.

'coz Performance Manager is crap.
The metrics shouldn’t run after being deleted, but purging them might solve your problem. Go to Setup -> Tools -> Metrics (under Check & Cleanup). Select the metrics that were deleted and erase them.
