My client is interested in MM.
Problem is I can’t find an installable download foor MM on the BOSAP download site.
Is it distributed otherwise or am I overlooking something ?

which version of MM you are looking for ? XI R2 or XI R3, XI R3 should be there on SAP Market place in BO Downloads
XI R2 is already end of life
what is the version of BO ? if its XI R2, then for MM XI R3 you will need some server components of BO XI R3 as well, since from MM R3 onwards BOE is used as platform on which MM will be installed (add on for BOE)

Well I’m looking version that works with BO XI R3 because my demo environment is R3.
I understood that this MM version can also gather XI R2 metadata.
I could not find the MM download that works for R3 anywhere on the BOSAP site but maybe I am looking in the wrong place.
Or is MM already in the standard XI R3 installation only to be activated by some futher configuration ?

its there in SAP market place under BO Downloads, there is no other different location for MM, could be a permission issue ?
the latest fix pack for MM XI R3.0 is FP3, use that, you can get this under support software link

No, MM is not bundled along with BOE XI R3, you have to install it on top of BOE XI R3

Well it must be a permission issue.
I don’t have the option “SBOP Metadata Management”.
Its a shame, I liked the old ESD site more, where one could try and demo virtually all the products…

as far as I know Metadata Manager XI R3 is not supported with BOE Edge
MM XI R3 uses BOE as platform, and also depends on BOE Server Group functionality which is not available with BOE Edge license
check with support if there is a option to get non Edge version of BOE for use with MM only ?

the response that you got on SCN is generic not specific to MM 12.1
this is an older release but still supported, the EOL of MM 12.1 is Dec 2015
if you are able to see BOE XI R3 you should be able to see MM 12.1 also
only EOL version will not be available, doesn’t matter when it was released to customers

at the moment the customer is moving forward to use BI 4.x and Information Steward.
