We have SAP BO Information Steward installed (Version: 14.0.3.331). SAP BusinessObjects BI version is 14.1.0. I am trying to find lineage from Report to the database using two integrators.
One is SAP BO Enterprise to collect metadata of all BO BI resources. And another on relational database on top on which Universe and Reports are built.
But when I click on Lineage tab of BO Webi Report object or Universe object, I am not any seeing Relational database integrator which is used in the Report.
Please advise if I am missing anything in the process.
you will not see the objects from RDB (or any other integrator) if they are identified as same object, in this case also, since the report is using a table which is already displayed in BOE Integrator lineage the lineage will stop in the BOE Integrator since it’s the same object in RDB integrator
try viewing the impact of the table from RDB Integrator it will show both RDB and BOE objects
if you have a view in RDB on which report is buit in that case you will see the objects from both BOE and RDB in lineage since there is further lineage for the view collected as part of BOE integrator
in short same as relationships are not displayed in Lineage diagram
