How does merged dimension work in thie scenerio:

I have 8 dimensions in one query and 3 dimensions in another query. How do I synchronize it ? What is the effect at the report ?

there needs to be a “matching” dimenson in both queries.
those dimensions get merged and you can display data from both queries in one results table.

You can use dummy dimension to make the sync work. Just make universe objects that have the same data type as the missing five in your first query. Although they won’t have any data, WEBI can’t tell the difference.
