Do merge dimensions work when published as a web service?

Merged dimensions are not published as a web service. What is published as a web service is a data block. How a data block is created - either using merged dimensions or not - is transparent for a BI service.

I have a data block which is having a merged dimension field.
The report runs fine in webi rich client but when i publish this report block and test it i dont say any data returning from the server.
Are there any limitations ?

no there are no limitations.

what are you doing to Test ?

did you drop a spreadsheet component on the area where you are binding to in Xcelsius ?

Also consider scheduling your webi so it has an instance.
config the xcelsius web service to use the instance.
