Hi PhilB,do the following.
I LOST MY FILE MENU BAR. HOW TO REPLACE IT BACK???
SOLUTION:
There are four possible causes for this issue:
1: The Windows System Registry is corrupted.
2: The BusinessObjects VBA script for the toolbars is corrupted.
3: The video driver is causing conflicts on the system.
4: The bar(s) has been dragged out of the monitor screen.
FOLLOW THE BELOW STEPS TO ENABLE THE FILE MENU BAR
Make sure that the Business Objects module is open and active.
Press Alt + F11 to activate the VBA window.
Press CTRL + G for the “Immediate Window” if it is not already open.
Type the following line into the “Immediate Window”:
TYPE THIS>>>>>>Application.cmdbars.Activemenubar.visible = true
AND PRESS ENTER THE FILE MENU BAR WILL BE BACK.
IT IS EASILY SOLVED BY ALTERING THE REGISRTY MANUALLY BY JUST DELETING A FOLDER
TYPE REGEDIT IN THE RUN WINDOW
THEN SELECT
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
SOFTWARE
BUSINESS OBJECTS
BUSINESS OBJECTS
5.0
BUSOBJ(DESKTOP INTELLIGENCE)
IF IT IS DESIGNER SELECT >DESIGN
IF IT IS SUPERVISOR SELECT >SUPERV
AND DELETE THE FOLDERS .CHECK THE DESIGNER THE FILE MENU BAR WILL BE BACK.
TYPE REGEDIT IN THE RUN WINDOW
THEN SELECT
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
SOFTWARE
BUSINESS OBJECTS
SUITE 6.0
DEFAULT
BUSINESS OBJECTS
APPLICATION PREFERENCES
BUSINESS REPORTER
BUSINESS OBJECTS
SELECT THE FOLDER IN WHICH THE FILE MENU BAR LOST AND DELETE IT.AND CHECK THE THAT ONE THE FILE MENU BAR WILL BE BACK.
>>>>>>TYPE REGEDIT IN THE RUN WINDOW
THEN SELECT
> HKEY_CURRENT_USER
>SOFTWARE
>BUSINESS OBJECTS
>SUITE 11.5
>DEFAULT
>BUSINESS OBJECTS
>APPLICATION PREFERENCES
>BUSINESS REPORTER
>DESKTOP INTELLIGENCE
SELECT THE FOLDER IN WHICH THE FILE MENU BAR LOST AND DELETE IT.AND CHECK THE THAT ONE THE FILE MENU BAR WILL BE BACK.
