I’m querying an database and displaying a text box in reporter. but its limiting the characters returned to 200.
any idea where i can change this, or am i doing something wrong?
Update: When i click on the ‘view’ button, the objects description, is shown as ‘character’. I have found references to something called ‘Long Text’. so im guessing that the universe designer has declared this as the wrong type ?
Character type = max 200 chars?

Did you try a Search? Suggested keywords: long text maximum (I took those words straight out of your question.)
There were a few answers, including this one that tells you to look at the parameters for your universe (well, the designer has to do that) – does that help?

Hi anita, yes i did search with various words, and came up pretty blank…
i must have read about 100 posts at least. !
In the end i deduced that it it because the text is set to 200 chars maximum at the database level.
So i’ve filed an error report and let the server guys sort it.
