Making all the queries on universe pull distinct rows

Hi All,
Is it possible to modify parameters in universe such that all the queries build on the universe will pull distinct rows. I know we can avoid pulling duplicate rows in report but is it possible to achieve this in universe.
I would really appreciate any help with this.

Thanks

Not that I’m aware of. I’ve never heard of anyone requesting this type of parameter.

As far as I know, DISTINCT is used for LOV’s on Universe.

WHat about adding the word “DISTINCT” to the BEGIN_SQL of the Universe Parameters?

I don’t recall if it executes this parameter before the query, or at the start of the query. My mind wants to think there was a method of Forcing hints in (and DISTINCT would be at the same place in the code), so perhaps a search for that as well…

That would put the DISTINCT before the SELECT, so that wouldn’t execute at all.
