Is it possible to simply install the Lumira BIP Add-on without using any SAP ERP (HANA, BW, etc) connection? That is, have it work with a relational database (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
I imagine that it is, just want to confirm.

Thanks for the link you provided. It is very much informative. In my organization also, we are planning to integrate SAP Lumira with SAP BI Platform 4x.
From this link, I could see that just an BIP add-on for Lumira in BOBJ server would be sufficient to access/publish Lumira documents in SAP BI Platform and no more dedicated Lumira server (inside HANA server or external machine) is required seperately irrespective of SAP/NON SAP sources as HANA will be considered just as one of the datasources in new SAP Lumira serv model for BI Platform.
Also all data processing will happen in BOBJ server for Lumira documents (if the source is HANA, the data processing will happen in HANA server)
Is my understanding correct?
Also, could you please let me know this model is out in the market or it is just a planned model by SAP for Lumira-BOBJ integration for future release.

I have seen Lumira addon software for BO servers on Windows platform in SAP software download site.
You can download and install it on your BO software if you have BO server 4.1 SP04 onwards (for Lumira 1.27). You can check PAM documents for more details.
It is not yet released for BO server on Unix/AIX as of last week.
