LOV parameters for Crystal reports based on universes

We’ve been trying to get LOV parameters to work in Crystal reports based on universes by defining and taking the parameter from thr Universe over the past week

Each option we’ve tried has ended up not working as we’d expect in some way.

I’m wondering whether this is even supported in Crystal the way it would work in Desktop Intelligence.

Do we have to instead define Business Views and LOV’s in the repository and take them from there, defining the parameter itself in the select expert?

It depends on how you want to use the LOVs. Basic LOVs work fine for us and Crystal Reports is our primary reporting tool. We have had to use Business View Manager to create dynamic cascading prompts but we couldn’t get them to work with a report written against a universe, we had to go directly against the database.
