hi all
DESKI was working ok but today i open it i lost all the menu items like File / DATA etc can some one tell me how do i meake these menu items appear O have attached a pic
basically i can hit ALT T i get the hidden menus .

Eeek! When I run the Deski application, the File menu (File - Edit - View …etc) is missing! The toolbar icon buttons below are all there, but no file menu.
This happens on my machine only. It happens regardless of whether I call Deski from the Start menu, or if I call Deski from within Infoview (i.e. to create a new Deski report).
It wasn’t like this when I first installed XIR2. But I can’t think of anything specific that I might have done to cause this problem.

I found the following to work both in 6.x and XIR2
Login to Business Objects Full client/Deski.
When it is open, Press Alt +F11 to activate the VBA Window.
Press CTRL + G for the “Immediate Window” if it is not already open.
Type the following line into the “Immediate Window”:
application.cmdbars.activemenubar.visible = true
5. Click Enter.

That did the trick for me since I did (and still does not) have a USER PREF entry in the registry!!!

our users have just started getting this error with missing toolbars and we are running on XI3.1 Service Pack 2 FixPack 1 (12.2.1.412)
so no it is not fixed in the latest version !
