We’re still trying to make the jump from 5.x ZABO to XI. We’ve been using LoadRunner to test the performance of InfoView reports in XIr2. We are finding that the performance degrades significantly somewhere between 80 and 100 concurrent users, which if that’s really true, it’s a threshold we can (reluctantly) live with for now.
However, we don’t have a LoadRunner license that allows us to test DeskI. Does anyone have any experience load/stress testing DeskI? For example, I’d love to know whether the performance dip happens at a significantly different threshold for DeskI vs. InfoView. Most of our users will be DeskI when we first roll out XIr2, and we’re trying to determine how much we are putting ourselves at risk if we forego load testing the new version of the ‘full client’.

We’re on XI 3.0 and having performance issues running Deski reports in InfoView. I would like to load test for Deski also.

Has anybody done this? We have Load Runner tool in house but on a different team so we’re trying to get our hands on it and figure out any licensing type issues.
