We are using SAP BI 4.1 SP4 (latest & greatest), the Live office object from MS-Power point refresh properly if the object is based on latest instance of a report or saved webi report document. It doesn’t matter if the underlying webi document has prompts or not.
However if the refresh option is set to ‘On demand’ and if underlying webi/ crystal document has prompts/ parameters the Live office object doesn’t refresh, at times hangs and throws errors.
It shows several errors:
- GetDocumentInformation exception (Error: WRE 99999)
- Object refrerence is not set to an instance
Refreshing a Live office object on demand works fine as long as underlying report doesn’t contain prompt. Is this a known bug or am I missing something. The prompt values doesn’t come up.
