Hi,
we are using XI R2 Live Office with Office 2003 (Microsoft Word) and we have a couple of wierd issues that we consider big limitations for such a product:
SECTIONS:
We bring the data into a Word document coming from a WebI report. This WebI has several sections based on one dimension. When we select and import the WebI parts (one table) into Word, it only retrieves the first section of the document, not repeating our selected objects as many times as sections the WebI has.
We’ve seen that when selecting the WebI parts to include, if we mark the table of Section 1, the tables coming in other sections are not selected.
Does this mean Live Office does not support breaks? Therefore, should the user select every single webi part on each section in order to retrieve all parts? This is a challenge for us, as the number of sections increase / decrease between refreshes.
MERGED CELLS:
The WebI table we are using has merged cells in order to display titles and so on. After importing the table into the Word document, the merged cells are gone and it presents the table in a column format without any merge.
Is this normal behavior? We’ve tried to force Live Office to retrieve also the report format, but still doesn’t get the merged cells.
Can anybody confirm the merged cells are not supported in this version and if newer versions 3.0, etc fix both issues?
IMAGE URL FORMAT:
When formatting a column as Image URL, the imported webi into Word does not retrieve the image but only the text with the path. When using single cells instead of table, the image is retreieved properly.
Again, is there any way to fix this? XI 3.0 solves the above issues?
Thanks for your support.
