Live Office and Xcelsius

Hi All,

I have both Xcelsius and Live Office Installed. I opened Live office enabled Excel file by authenticating to BOE and was able to refresh the report that I had created in Excel using the Universe. I opened Xcelsius to import the Spreadhseet created using Live Office and got the following message “Excel is running and you are in LiveOffice compatibility mode. We recommend you cancel your start up and save and close Excel before starting Xcelsius.”

Do I have to first start Xcelsius always?

Excel and Xcelsius do not always get along. Try to never have them both open. Sometimes after closing Excel it will leave Excel.exe sessions still running. You can go to your Task Manager and click on the processes tab and close any Excel sessions still running.

You can have both open but it will eventually make Xcelsius do strange stuff and finally it won’t work.
