Live office 4.0 breaks Live office 3.1

Hello,
Did any did side by side install of BI4.0 client tools with BOXI3.1 client tools.?.I just did side by side install and it breaks Live office 3.1.I’m not able to insert any webi or crystal reports in to Live office 3.1 any more.

Did any one has similar problem.

To be frank, I would never attempt such a thing. Business Objects tools of different versions have never played nicely together IMO.
I believe you may face other issues by doing this also.
Just out of interest did it say this was possible in the user guide?

Side-by-side works for Univers Designer, Webi Rich client/Desktop, Xcelsis, but I am afraid not for LiveOffice.

Well…for sure it broke live office 3.1.Other tools like designer,webirich client, qaaws etc were working fine though.

It’s just Live office:(

Hi,
We are using Live Office 4.0 SP4 Patch 1. As stated in the earlier posts, we have come across an “upgrade” issue when opening 3.1 LO based Xcelsius dashboards that require upgrades to 4.0.

“Failed to upgrade this document (LO 01400)
Class not registered”

Any workarounds to resolve this?
