List view component not updating at run-time

Hello,
I have added a list view component to my dashboard and linked it to cell $A$2:$K$51 in the embedded spreadsheet. There are two rows of data in the embedded spreadsheet. At runtime there are 4 rows of data in the .XML data but only 2 rows are visible in the List View component on the dashboard. The two rows can be different data from the embedded spreadsheet but still it only displays two. If I totally redo the connection it will work. I suppose I could create 50 bogus rows of data but that is probably not how this component is supposed to work.

I have checked the preferences>excel options for max # of rows.
I have checked the connections, they are working.

Does anyone know how to get the other rows of data to show up at runtime?

Thanks for your time,
Vickie

When you first made your list view component, did you only bind it to 2 rows and then change it? I’ve often found with this component that if you make any changes, you have to re-bind it to the relevant cells for it to pick up the change.

Just an idea

and to add to what she said…If all else fails, delete the component and the connection. Do it again. You will often find you catch user errors or…

Sometimes, these components just fail…especially after repetitive configuration.

Thanks to both of you! I really appreciate your input.

It turns out it is a setting in the Excel spreadsheet with the xml maps I imported into the Dashboard designer. I created the XML maps but I did not have any additional cells active only the number in the xml data at design time (2).

What I had to do was go back to the Excel spreadsheet (outside of Dashboard Designer) and create the xml map, refresh the data, then using Design>resize table I had to add the number of rows the table might be at any one time. This solved my issue. I also recreated a brand new spreadsheet because sometimes if you try to tweak the xml things get more messed up!

So now I have a dashboard that has the ability to see less or more data depending on the data source, and is running every 15 minutes and refreshing. So Cool! I am still such a novice!!!

Thanks again
