Linux - ODBC Strange parameter

Can someone tell me of “QEWSD = 39???” 5 digit number often changes.
Appears in the ODBC.INI file.

WHAT is this.
WHY is it needed.
WHEN does this get inserted (because we remove it,constantly).
WHAT does it relate to.

When it appears we have trouble connecting to SQL database and ORACLE database when attempting to refresh data or reports on universes.

BOB XI R2 on Suse LINUX 9.

many thanks

I know this was a long time ago, but did you ever figure out what this parameter was? We are having intermittent issues with our ODBC as well.

I am not the DBA so unable to provide you with a true answer and the person I need to ask is not in work for a while. From vague memory I beleive it was something to do with licence (not XIR2) and the resolve was to set the file attribute to READ only. We then had no further ODBC problems. I think we are now using Data Direct 5 , but not sure if this is to do with SQL server connections. If I know more I will add a new post reply.
