Linux commands for starting CMS

Hello,

I am running BO XI R2 on a Linux OS, I am getting the following error:

“err: Error: Couldn’t logon to CMS
err: Error description: The system 10.10.XX.XX can be contacted, but there is no Central Management Server running at port 6400.”

I am using the “./ccm.sh -start all” command, what am I missing here.

I did the command for “startservers” too, but nothing. I noticed that in CMC the only server that is started is the CMS, the rest of the servers are stopped and I cannot start them from CMC.

Help please, Thanks!

Did you try to start Tomcat server? and then try to start all other servers.

Thank you for the reply, I did start Tomcat (otherwise I would not be able to or see the CMC) I can also get into Infoview. I just cannot run reports.

I have done the start all servers, and this gives me the same result. Is there a way to enable all servers from a linux command?

To enable the servers just type in:

./ccm.sh -enable all

Hope this helps.

Thank you too for the reply, I will give that a try.
Are there any other linux commands related to starting up the Server or CMS?

Thanks

The xir2_bip_deploy_en.pdf file that can be downloaded from the support site (it may also come with your installations) has a section on Unix tools that gives you all the commands that you need.

Hope this helps.

Thank you again! It appears like my issue is in my Host file. When the prior guy did the install I think he changed the host file to call out for the alias name but instead the full qualified name is being returned causing an error.

Thank you again!!
