Linking Report object in Designer

Hi all:

I researched a lot on BOBJ about the task that I have been facing.
I have two reports one “EMPLOYEE RESUME” which is my DETAIL/CHILD report and one “Employee by Roles” as my PARENT/SUMMARY report.
I need to call Employee Resume Report from the “Employee by Primary Roles”, by clicking on the Name; My “EMPLOYEE RESUME” report has PROMTS on “Employee_Name”.

For this I have created a variable for the same and its working fine.
But apart from linking, We need to have DRILL DOWN ANALYSIS too, which I can’t have because of this Variable, and as per my understanding.

But my colleague told me, that I can create a OBJECT in my UNIVERSE, which then can he used in DRILL DOWN ANALYSIS too, thus solving my problem.

I looked at BOBJ, but mostly it focused upon VARIABLE part, not on creating the same at UNIVERSE LEVEL.

If some one has already done so; can some one send me the SYNATX for the same?
That will be highly appreciated!!

Look for OpenDocument syntax. If you’re really using one of the legacy versions WebI 1.x - 2.x, which correspond to BusinessObjects versions 4.x - 5.x, then look in this sub-forum.

If you’re actually using WebI XI, Search in the WebI XI sub-forum, since the syntax varies by version.
