Hi , Is there any way of linking word documents to a webi report. Basically i want to provide a link on the report that will open a word document (with functional requirements for the report).
Also do we have to save those docs on the webi server (if yes , where and how) …or can we reference a folder on the file server

Have you looked into the Encylopedia functionality? If I’m understanding your question, the Encyclopedia does exactly what you are looking for. On the InfoView toolbar, it’s the 3rd button from the left.

Yes i have been talking to my admin to make encyclopedia available for us …but for now its disabeled…so i can’t use encyclopedia for now :(( …also can you have charts/tables/pictures in an encyclopedia , becasue our functional docs have all those

I think the encyclopedia is text only, but I could be wrong.
Back to your original question, I would think you could link to a Word document as long as it was available thru a web server. I don’t think you could just link to a location on your file server.
