limiting what tabs users can see/use in the CMC?

I as the Administrator can set up another type of Administrator that only has rights to do a subset of what the Administrator login does.
I suspect creating a new Access Level then tweaking the Included Rights is the only way to accomplish this, correct?
Is there any way to limit the tabs being displayed on the left in the CMS. Our customer will naturally want to fiddle and find out what each of them can do. Better to have them removed altogether from their view.

Based on the rights you delegate they local administrator will see the corresponding content within the CMC …
