Currently we have XI r2 licenses and as part of AMC we have been told
that we can upgrade to XI r 3.1. We are planning for the upgrade and
the way we have planned to go about is by doing a fresh install on a
new machine, using import wizard to migrate/move relevant objects from
old system to new one and after successful installation/migration
uninstalling older version (XI r2) from older machine. Questions we
have regarding this are
a) Can we do a fresh install instead of upgrade, considering we
are getting the software as part of AMC, is it mandatory for us to
download and use the upgrade software instead of new installation (we
have 2 separate files available for download one for fresh install and
other for upgrade)
b) Which license key we need to use? One we got for XI r2 or we
need to use evaluation version first? If we are going for use
evaluation version there are 3 separate evaluation version keys
(Premium CPUx1, Premium NULx10, Premium NULx100), which one of these 3
we should be using? Currently we have Premium license for 20 users
c) If we need to use evaluation version, how can we get permanent
license keys?
