License cost to upgrade from R1 to R2

Is there any license and/or S/W cost to upgrade from R1 to R2?

Being current on your maintenance entitles you to the latest versions.

In addition to what’s being said, if you are not already on R2, you might want to skip it and move on to 3.1. The end-of-life of R2 is next summer. So there is no reason to upgrade to something that will go away soon.
