Left margin page number on details

Ok, here is the deal. I need to have a page number displayed on the left center margin that doesn’t change, no matter how many records are displayed. It should be in the same location on all pages. This requirement is because when the report is delivered to the Trustees, they are stapled and the bottom page number isn’t always accessible.

If I add it to the details, then of course the page number shows up for each record you have. This is a strange requirement.

What do you mean by left center margin? Which one is it left or center? Are you trying to put it in the page header instead of page footer?
