LDAP connectivity via Web Application server or BO servers

Hi

I’ll try to simplify my question:

I have a BOEXIR2 Unix installation with the web application server (tomcat) sitting on machine A, and the remaining BO servers installed on machine B.

Now I am integrating with LDAP, which is some remote machine C listening on SSL port 636.

In terms of burning firewall ports on my servers, do I need:

  1. A -> C

  2. B -> C

  3. or both?

I think - it should be Both i.e. A -> C and also B ->C

because the web application server also hosts the BusinessObjects Enterprise
SDK.

But I would suggest to check the Firewall Settings/scenarios - in Admin Guide or Planning guide. :+1:
