Hi,
First of all, let me explain that I am currently working at a Help Desk… The incident described below may seem trivial, but it’s messing up my call statistics and disturbing my other work.
When logging in to BO, the userID of “ADBONDT” shows at the PC of user DL. User DL is therefore convinced that user ADBONDT sneaks into the office at night and uses his PC to connect to Business Objects. Which is nonsense, user ADBONDT has her own computer, own office, own login… Of course, at some point in the past, ADBONDT may have used the PC and hence, the logon name is stored…
Unfortunately DL is a highly placed manager, so I cannot simply close this call.
So my question is how I can erase the “last logon” in Business Objects? Where are the logon names stored? In the Windows registry?
All help appreciated…
Daniel
[EDIT]
Found it! The last login is stored in the “BOMAINV6.LSI” file on the PC, which is usually in the directory C:\Documents and Settings\WINLOGON\Application Data\Business Objects\Business Objects 6.0\lsi
If you delete the lsi file, then a new file gets created automatically, and the problem disappears…
