Laptop Configuration for Demo system

Hi all members

I would like to have an advisable “Laptop Configuration” for the demo system to demonstrate the SAP Business Objects product basic working to our prospect client.

Major Products to be installed on Laptop are following.

  1. BOXI3.1 (Enterprise)
  2. Data Integrator
  3. Data Federator
  4. Data Quality
  5. Crystal Reports 2008
  6. Xcelsius
  7. SQL Server 2005 (complete installation)

Kindly any member guide me, what should be the “Laptop Configuration” to entertain the above mentioned software for practical demonstration to prospect client during meeting.

Please find the recommended configuration

1.Intel Core2duo Processor
2.4GB RAM
3.120GB Hard disk,or 80GB.
4.Adobe Flash Player

one thing I’d like to add is either a 7200RPM hard drive or a solid state drive, of 128GB or better.

I recommend building your demo server in VMWare, so you don’t mess up your laptop, and you can build as many servers as you need.

I thought that there was no point in 4GB RAM unless you’re running a 64-bit OS, otherwise not much more than around 3.2GB can be accessed.

Yes. 2GB RAM is sufficient.

I also agree with Michael that you should be using Vmware or any virtual server app for demo/presentation.
