Has anyone here had an occasion to create a Universe against KRONOS? I know that Crystal has an OEM against it, but I would like to create true Ad Hoc capabilities for Non IT folks.

Our KRONOS deployment uses an Oracle 9 DB connection, so I would assume that if you have access to that connection from Designer, you can build a universe.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I am not really asking can you create a Universe against KRONOS, it is more, “Is it practical?”. From my research (er, Google). I am finding that KRONOS is not optimized or normalized for reporting and that there are 3rd party solutions (Data Warehouse in a box) for KRONOS.

Oh, sorry. I haven’t worked with it myself, but I’ve been told the DB is excessively denormalized, which may be a good thing for BO reporting.

Just wondering if you ever created a Kronos Universe for Business Objects? I’ve been tasked to do this as a simple task (from my managers) Just wondering if you were successful.
