Killing a session

There has got to be a better way to kill a user session using the CMC instead of rebooting the Webi application and\or server.
Without doing any sort of SDK or any other programming. I mean XI is or was supposed to be better and easier to work with than the older version like 6.x TRUE ?
This was easily done using the Admin Console in 6.5 I hate to think that it can no longer be done the same easy way

To the best of my knowledge, there is no built-in UI component that can be used to terminate a session. If there is a way to do this as you describe, I would love to hear it. I remember stumbling across a KB article about R2 a few years ago that pretty much said you are out of luck. There is another KB article (or maybe a SAP forum post) for 3.1 that gives an example using the SDK.

sdk is the only solution … Google it to find what you need…

Johnny Ye has an SDK tool available on his blog http://johnnyye.com/blog/2008/08/12/business-objects-xi-session-removal-tool/.
This tool works very well. But, as you will see from the comments on his post, it isn’t supported by Business Objects so you will need to use it at your own risk.

Thanks but it looks as though you need to be registered to see Johnny tool and the URL you sent does not allow New User setup.

Again, another road block that I need to overcome. I think its garbage on how SAP destroyed much of the functionality from a great tool like Business Objects. :reallymad:
