Job does not start Immediately when executed from BW Infopac

Hi All,

When BW Process Chain kicks off Data services job.In the management console I can see below logs.
At 06:15:41 - JOB: Starting job on job server host , port <3500>.
At 07:02:36 - It says -JOB: Job <Job_XXX_XXXX> of runid <2011082706154169008232> is initiated by user .
It takes nearly 45- 50 minutes to start the job.
and when job is assigned with user id and account . it takes 2 mins to complete job.
Can anyone help me with solution?

is you DS repo in SQL Server Database ? if yes, then there was a fix done in 12.2.3.1 for this issue, there was problem with database lock on DS Repo tables

check the following post

the latest Fix Pack for 12.2 is 12.2.3.2, next FP 12.2.3.3 will be available in couple of week

Hi Manoj ,

Thank you very much for sharing the information.

Earlier we did not enouter this issue. I have been observing this issue from 2 days. And we are in production last week.

Currently we are using DS12.2.2.3, since we are moved to production last week. it is bit hard to do changes now. any other solution for now ?

you didn’t mention the DS Repo database type ?
was it working on the same repo (same db type) ?

DS Database type is SQL Server. Yes it was working earlier it was taking 2 mins. from two days it is taking 1 Hr . 2 Hr and today it took 4 Hrs to execute the job. And the problem is the same.

We are executing jobs from BW Process chain.
