Issue with Changing Deski Report Connection

We have some reports that are deski reports that we recently converted from being Universe reports to Free-hand SQL reports. The Universe was based off of a database that is getting decommissioned. Once the reports were converted to free-hand SQL, our DBA shut off access to the old database. Once he did that, we noticed some of the reports wouldn’t refresh in InfoView because of an “account locked” oracle error.

Basically, we have noticed that some of the free hand SQL reports are still trying to use the old Universe connection when being refreshed InfoView. We can refresh the reports successfully in the deski client fine, but if we try to refresh the reports in InfoView we are getting the connection error. I have verified our servers can connect to the new database and have refreshed the report in the deski client on the server successfully. Somewhere in the report, in Infoview, it is still trying to connect using the old universe connection (even though the data source for the universe has been completely removed from the report).

Has anyone else seen this issue before and know how to fix it? Any help is appreciated.

Here are two similar posts about it, but I still cannot find a way to resolve the issue.

Hi,

I’ve faced the same problem.

I just open it and save it directly on infoview.

Then no more issue.

Hope it will help you.

This didn’t seem to work. All I did was Right Click > View and then Refreshed and Saved the report in Infoview. Are those the steps you recommend to do?

Hi,

Yep that’s the steps.

Worked for me.

Seems to be another issue.
