We have just installed XI 3.1 on Linux machine. The installation went quite smooth. However, upon running the sample WEBI reports (under Auditor) folder we get an error:
An error has occurred: Could not initialize Report Engine server. (Error: RWI 00226)
I verified from CMS and can see all servers up, running and enabled including the WebIntelligenceProcessingServer. Also tried stop - start of servers several times and they all come up but get the same error when running the sample report.
Pls suggest how do we ensure that WEBI reports runs and the install was correct.
In CMC > Servers, I can see all the servers enabled and running. We even bounced them several times. All the servers come up and are in green (enabled + running) but the error persists.
However, can you pls help me located windows event viewer (we have our setup on unix box) ?
I added the BO_HOME (BO install directory) to the PATH variable in .profile and restarted the servers. This time all servers come up except the Web Intelligence Procesing Server. The CMC also shows it as down (Red). I tried starting it from CMC but it throws different messages as below:
Upon clicking Start: Web Intelligence Processing Server: Unable to get SI_NTSERVICE_NAME property value
Upon clicking Restart: Web Intelligence Processing Server: Server SIA_DEV.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer is already in the state requested
Just to reiterate, this is a new install for XI 3.1 on Linux server and the installation went good without any errors.
