Dear Gurus,
Is it possible for a dashboard to be based on both query browser as well as live office/bi web services? I am on sap bo dashboard 4.0 sp 9.

From what I understand, yes (provided you do not plan to go mobile). I think when I was first trying to use UNX as a data source, I kept my live office connections active (mostly to compare data).

Yep.
In the past Ive done things using static data, web services, queries and XML. There
s no real limitations apart from the fact that its probably difficult to integrate that kind of data at row level in SAP Dashboards given it
s lack of a proper data engine.

Thank you all, for your replies.
So, it’s possible to use Query Browser and Live Office together, but is it a right approach to go about it? Would it pose any kind of challenges with respect to the maintenance of the embedded excel?
Thanks,
Isha

Anytime you have multiple data sources, it can be a challenge. I avoid Live Office because of all the issues I have had with it in the past (not that Query Builder is without it’s issues). The handy thing with Query Builder, in a number of cases you do not even need to use the embedded Excel. You can link your data directly to the component.
