IPS 4.1 -> CMC Configuration Wizard Capacity

Hi Board Members,

few weeks ago we’ve upgrade or BO DS system to DS 4.2 SP7.
Along witt that we upgrade our IPS from 4.0 to 4.1.

Now if i open the CMC a “System Configuration Wizard” opens.
If i navigate through i come to the point “Capacity”.
There i can choose between XS up to XL.

Based on the selection it says below e.g. :

So we have around 20GB Ram available.

But what does it means “Adaptive Processing Servers: 4 per node” ?
What exactly must be added to follow this recommondation?

I’ve just cloned the “EIMAdaptiveProcessingServer” but the second one is “starting with errors”.

Is it really good / required to have 4 instance based on the system sizing?
And which services / processes must be available 4 times?

I have not added any adaptive processing servers to my installs. I’m not sure that it’s necessary. Maybe that applies to BOE?
