I move the BOXI 3.1 Universes to BOXI 4.0 through upgrade management too and in some of the universes i am getting join erros and error:Exception DBD,[Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0]:Invalid coloumn name ‘xxxx’,State:42S22.
I check in the universe this coloumn does exists.
Does it mean that this column has been modified or deleted from the table?
I did the refresh of universe structure it prompts me do you want to remove outdated tables/joins i selected no
and refresh structure was completed.
Also, can any one please advise me on linked universes in BOXI4.0.I read that linked universes will not work in BOXI 4.0
but i am not converting it through IDT and just want to to use it through Universe Design tool.Does anybody have faces issues while using linked universes from Universe Design Tool.
Table and column names are case sensitive in 4.0. I don’t know why, but I ran into a similar issue when converting universes in 4.0. If they are store in upper case in the database, but you have lowercase in the universe, you will need to fix them.
As for linked universes, they will still work in 4.0, as long as you keep them in the .unv format. If you convert them to .unx format, the linked universe(s) will be included in the derived universe as part of the conversion process.
In XIR2 there was a palace where you could change whether the designer was case sensitive or not. I can’t remember if this was in a config file or if it was something in the registry though. There might be something similar that can be changed in 4.0.
