Interactive view Saving option

Hi All,

Please find below requirement which we are trying to accomplish:

We want to have user rights such that a user must be able to save report instances but they must not be able to modify the report structure, this is especially important when a user is viewing report in Interactive mode as there a user can change the report structure. Please look at the below mentioned example:
A user opens the report in Interactive mode which has three columns. Now the user runs the report for financial period 201001 and then adds some column to the basic report for analysis. Now when user saves that instance, report should be saved for the run parameter but the extra column added to the report must not be saved as in this case basic report structure would get changed.

Hi,
You can try one of the option, go to Edit Query panel->Properties tab then under Security-> uncheck the check box “Allow other users to edit all queries”.

When selected, other users who have the appropriate editing rights can access Query View and modify the data providers in the document. When cleared, only the report creator can modify the data providers. This option is selected by default. Unlike the other query properties, which only apply to the selected query, this option applies to all of the data providers in the document.
