Instance problem

Hi

I am logging as Admin and scheduling the WebI report using CMC. In the “Schedule for” option I am selecting the parent group so that the report would be accessible for all subgroup. After successful refresh of report the users can see last run date which is correct But not able to see the successful instance. Rather for all the users under Administrator groups there is another link under the report name “View Latest Instance” gets created. If as an admin I select the report name it shows me old copy only and if I select “View Latest Instance” it shows me latest refreshed copy of the report. What could be cause?

If i interpret your question correctly…
for other users it doesnt have a view instance link of the report because you did not schedule for other users.
For admin group it shows the instance as well as the original report

For other users it shows the report instance which is old one (before refresh). For Admin users the under the report name where you are having links like History!Schedule!properties, a new link is created “view latest instance”. If Admin user click report name it shows the old copy and if he selects “View latest Instance” then it shows the refreshed copy

What I am expecting is when I am scheduling the report the users to see the latest refreshed copy only. I do select the parent group but even then the users cannot view the refreshed copy, they are able to see the report name but that particular copy is the old one before refresh. I want users to see the latest refreshed copy at all times.

Try going to CMC -> BusinessObjects Enterprise Applications -> InfoView

Then scroll down a little and you’ll see under the section called “Object Listing:” are two radio buttons.

If I understood your question correctly, I believe you’d want the second one selected instead of the first.

Hi Melon,

Is there a way to set the setting you suggest in CMC on per Object or per Folder basis?
