Instance count deviation in both loadbalancer and tomcat links

Hello Team,

I am experiencing one peculiar issue and its with all most all the reports and Users/user group mapping.

  1. In load balancer BI link, being admin I could see a report has more number of instances including recurring instances, where as in individual tomcat link its not the same and instead it has less number of instances compared to the load balancer one. This is the case with all most all the reports in both 4. 2 & 4.3.

  2. Same with User and user grp mapping. Say one user is member of 5 grps which i can see in LB link, and its nt the same in individual tomcat link.

Just curious to know what could be the issue. Any suggestions?

Thanks & Regards,
Sandhya

hi
that is odd.
Could you directly see the settings of the loadbalancer in way which servers are included in that LB link?
it sounds like you have e.g. Test and Prod env. (= more system databases) and they are mixed in LB.
And if you use SSO you can miss in which env are you logged in. I would try to create an unique object and see if is visible on all servers + LB link.

another issue I have encountered that there was a network device which caches/aggregates the http traffic and once a http url was cached it was provided to user session instead to use a fresh one - then various issues (similar you has described) happened to users - the solution was to exclude BO servers from that device.
