Hi all,
we currently use Crystal XI R2 in our development team. Since some of us had their PC changed, we had to re-install Crystal XI R2. The result is that a (some) dll is causing the failure of the full nstallation. I receive the following error message:
Error 1305 when trying to read the file c:\program files\Business objects\Crystal reports 11.5/CRWDNR.dll. Make sure you have access rights.
Before re-installing on the problem PCs, change the name of that DLL by adding a “.old” on the end. Then, procede with the install. If any other DLLs give you problems, you can do the same to them. As long as the DLLs are under the C:\program files\Business objects\Crystal reports 11.5 folder, you shouldn’t affect any other programs.
Hi, This might be due to the reason that Business Objects is trying to change some value in the dll file using your ID and your ID may not be having the rights to do so. Ask your system administrator ti give you rights on the said folder.
Is Business Objects XI loaded into system…? if yes uninstall both BOXI and Crystal XI and remove the folders from C:Crystal reports 11.5… then try again finally… Previously i got the same problem, i have formated the system and loaded everything fresh…It got loaded successfully…
