Installation of 2 instances of the same RapidMart

Hello,

I have a “little” problem :
I have to install 2 instances of the RapidMart “Inventory” on the same repository.
The first instance is the standard and second is a customized version.

How can I do ? I don’t want to “break” any standard workflow or standard dataflow on installing the customized version …

I was ready to rename all objects through atl file to have 2 different jobs with all different objects but it’s going to be long and hard and I’m not sure of the result. :?

Is there any other solution ? :?:

Frankly, I would simply create another repo. At least at the beginning…

Do you confirm that they are only 2 possibilities :

  • creating another repo
  • renaming all objects through the atl file (solution not easy and not sure)

Almost. The third option would be to have one RapidMart only and customize it in a way so that you have unification of both datasets, the original plus the additional. If possible.

In other words, in the simplest case if the customization is just a “add one more field”, add the field. For the one set of reports you will not use it, for the other you will - still onedataflow for both.
