Initialize the Report Engine Server

For some strange reason, like all of a sudden, whenever I attempt to open a report in the CMC after I schedule, I receive the 'could not initialize the report engine server" errro message. Does anyone have any ideas why this appears? :crazy_face: :hb:

Try stopping the service, then modify the startup command line to include -trace, then startup the service again. The -trace command will more fully populate the log (located at: :\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Logging). Once you get some juicy comments in this log you’ll have more info to research a cause and effect on.
